You are reading this because you are special. Most, if not all members of this platform are business owners striving to grow their businesses. Many have embarked on the American dream. Business ownership!

Business + Hard work = Freedom.

Most people get confused with the second part of this equation, Hard work. Many people work hard on their business. They should be working harder on themselves. This circle is created to help the individual recharge their mental battery when things seem overwhelming and they begin to doubt themselves. A few words that can get you re-energized and back in the game. Remember that the way to do something right is by first doing it wrong.

If you’re like me, you scraped your knees and experienced a couple of bruises when you sat on your bicycle the very first time. But you got back on until you were riding your bike with no hands. None of us were born experts. But we were born with skills. All you have to do is identify and develop your skills. It begins in your mind.

Success can truly be fun.

Many of the jobs lost during the recession are not coming back. PERIOD.

For the last 2 years, the weak economy has provided an opportunity for employers to do what they would have done anyway: dismiss millions of people – like file clerks, ticket agents and auto workers – who were displaced by TECHNOLOGY ADVANCES and INTERNATIONAL TRADE.

The phasing out of these positions might have been accomplished through less painful means like attrition, buyouts or more incremental layoffs. But because of the recession, winter came early.

Pruning relatively less-efficient employees like clerks and travel agents, whose work can be done more cheaply by COMPUTERS OR WORKERS ABROAD, makes Americans businesses more efficient.

We all want the same things out of life. We want to be happy, healthy, reasonably prosperous and secure, and to have friends, peace of mind, good family relationships and hope. A career in our industry can satisfy all these desires.

Dr. Charles King, a Harvard-educated marketing professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago investigated our industry. He created an MBA-quality-level course for practitioners in our industry.

    What about you?

You charge your body with enthusiasm. Enthusiasm develops a dynamic personality. Some people are born with enthusiasm; others have to work at acquiring it. Without enthusiasm you’d be like a battery without charge. Inject enthusiasm to your definite purpose and you will produce profit.

When you combine enthusiasm with your work, your work will not seem hard or monotonous. “Time flies when you’re having fun.”

Happiness is your objective. It is your dream of achieving the home you intend to own, the money you intend to earn, the trips you intend to take, and the person in life you intend to become. These are the things that produce happiness. These are the things that will make you enthusiastic, no matter where you are today.

How often do we have to relearn a lesson before we really get it? Winston Churchill defined insanity as doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results.

Many people go to a counselor with personal or relationship problems that took years to develop and expect a quick solution. Most of our problems and habits didn’t develop overnight. It is unrealistic to expect them to go away immediately. There is no pill, principle or prayer that will instantly undo the damage of many years. It requires hard work.

There is no growth without change. No change without fear or loss, no loss without pain. You must let go of the old to experience the new. (

The good news is that you don’t need to know a lot of things to make changes, just a few. The great news is that you don’t need to learn new things to change. The things you need to learn are old. Old principles. You must practice them, and that takes time. Where can you find these principles? A good start is the library or you must go find someone who is successful in the field that interests you.

I read somewhere that leadership is the most marvelous mystery in existence today. Books have been written about leadership, yet no one has completely captured its essence in a manner that allows everyone to taste from its cup. Leaders come in all shapes and sizes, colors and backgrounds, religions and beliefs.

Leadership isn’t about what people think you are; it’s about you being committed to and following your path. Leaders passionately pursue their voice.

The challenge is that until you accept yourself for who you are, and then forgive yourself for being a mere mortal, you aren’t going anywhere. If you want to be a leader, you have to find your voice and pursue it passionately. Yes, happiness is the ultimate goal. What will make you happy?

Your passions drive your expectations. If you’re passionate about helping humanity, great. If you’re passionate about helping others succeed, fantastic. It doesn’t matter what your passions are, pursue them passionately and you will become a slave to your expectations. You won’t lose.

If your environment is not to your liking, change it.

We are influenced and form habits based on a wide variety of circumstances in our environment, which is in direct relationship to the personality we develop. The saying is, “You are the product of your environment.” Our environment consists of factors, which develop our personalities such as the books we read, people with whom we associate, where we live, and most importantly, religion and education.

The people you associate on a daily basis constitute one of the most important influences of your environment. These are the people that may help you work towards your progress or your retrogression. ( Your most intimate associates should be those whom are in sympathy with your goals. Their mental attitude should inspire you.

Can you understand the importance of talking with people who are in sympathy with your goals and encourage you towards its attainment? Can you understand the importance of reading the books directly related to your goals?

You are the product of your decisions. You create the world you live in. It’s never too late to become the person you wanted to be.

    FuntasticLiving --- May 31, 2014 - 1:27 PMReply

Whether you decide to recommend a product or a service or in some circumstances, both, you want to be sure that your enthusiasm is genuine. This is important for you to understand for your own psyche and peace of mind.

Genuine fun will keep you committed in your chosen field of endeavor. If doubt and fear becomes your constant companion, you won’t be committed to your business. ( When you’re not having fun and when work is hard and sometimes discouraging, you’re not likely to want to continue.

At your job you get compensated by the hour or on salary, and you receive periodic raises and possibly a bonus. Your boss determines your rate of pay. You have one of two choices, take it or leave it. Doesn’t sound like fun, does it?

If you could influence your compensation and you determine your rate of pay, in other words, it’s a “how much do you want to earn” proposition, would you be enthusiastic?

    FuntasticLiving --- May 26, 2014 - 8:07 AMReply

If I could sit at your table and ask you “Why haven’t you found an opportunity yet?” You would probably say, “I don’t have the money”, “I don’t have the experience”, “I don’t know how” or “I don’t know what to do.”

If you gave me a moment I can show you how to overcome that challenge. You won’t need a lot of money, experience or education to get started. There is only one prerequisite, you really have to want to. ( You’re probably working hard already, aren’t you? The only difference is that you are probably working for someone else. You could be working for yourself.

You probably know by now that I am referring to Network Marketing. How did a person with a successful real estate career get involved with network marketing? Simple. I love people. I know you love people too. FACT: You cannot be successful unless you help or receive help from other people. I’ve been involved in network marketing all of my life. I just did not know it. Whether you know it or not, you already are a network marketer too.

Learn from the ladies. Women dominate the industry 4 to 1. Watch how they interact with others.

Like it or not, we’re all practicing network marketing every day. It’s nothing more than recommending and promoting the things we value.

“The real opportunity for success lies within the person and not the job.”

Failure comes to all at one time or another. When it comes your way, make
sure you learn something of value.

Failure speaks to us in a “dumb language” that most of us do not understand.
If this statement were false, we would not make the same mistakes over and
over again without learning valuable lessons. We would pay closer attention
to the mistakes of others and learn from them.

I have learned through the years that my “failures” was nothing more than
wisdom that forced me to redirect my efforts. Fate has a strange way of forcing
change, but at the moment you only see failure. (

Strength and growth come through continuous effort and struggle.Work that
becomes too easy and creates too little effort creates the habit of inertia.

or illiterate.” – Booker T. Washington

Loneliness is a major complaint among people who work from home, especially if they worked in an environment where they were constantly surrounded by people.

How does being a part of a profession that gives you the freedom to control your future? Where how you progress is entirely your decision. ( You have no boss, no sales and marketing boundaries, no office politics, no Monday morning staff meetings. Being around people who are much more positive than the people you were around before. Having endless connections. A level playing field for all. In two to five years you can earn more money than you would earn in thirty to forty years working for someone else.

There’s only one caveat: The ultimate success is up to you!

“Open your mind with facts, but always remember that your own attitude is yours-and it’s yours to keep. You do that by simply remembering that failure is an event, not a person, yesterday really did end last night, and today is a new day.” – Zig Ziglar

Og Mandino said, “Life is a game.”

Life is a checkerboard. Your opponent is time. You may win if you keep moving. If you hesitate you’ll be wiped off the board.

It is a fact that no great leader was known to procrastinate. Procrastination robs you of opportunity. Ambition drives you into action. Delay means defeat. ( You will never make up lost time. You may be shocked if you kept track of the time you waste in a single day.

Indecision drives the average man into a corner where they can’t move. Indecision is the common weakness of the majority of people. The person that does not have the courage to say either yes or no will say, “I will think it over.”

The person of decision gets what they want, no matter how long it takes or how difficult the task.

If you are one of those who makes their mind today and change them again tomorrow you are doomed to failure. Not sure which way to go? You are better off closing your eyes and moving in the dark than not making a move at all. You cannot always make the right moves, but making enough moves will allow you to take advantage of the law of averages.

Success is not something you become. Success is not something you pursue. Success is something you attract by the person you become. Success is something you attract by becoming an attractive person.

The most important quality to attract success is a Definite Purpose. You must know what you want. Definite means clearly stated or decided; not vague or doubtful: certain or sure about something.

Millions of people go through life not knowing what it is they want. All have a purpose, but few have a Definite Purpose. Nothing is impossible to the person who knows what it is he/she wants and makes up his/her mind to acquire it.

Opportunity, capital, co-operation from others and all other essentials for success gravitate to the person who knows what they want. Nothing is impossible to the person with a Definite Purpose. ( Just like prayer, definite purpose based on faith always works.

“Singleness of purpose is one of the chief essentials for success in life, no matter what may be one’s aim.” – John D. Rockefeller, Jr.

Millions of people living today bare the burden of the cross known as poverty.
They struggle to enjoy the three basic necessities of life, a place to sleep,
something to eat and clothe to wear. Carrying the cross of poverty is no joke!

Failure is another cross many must bare in one form or another. Few people
understand that failure is seldom permanent. Failures usually turn out to be
blessings in disguise. Lessons are learned from failures which one would
    never learn without it.

Most conditions which people think are failures are just temporary defeat.
Joel Olsteen says, “A setback is a setup for a comeback.”

If you feel that you are a failure, think how much worse off you would be if you
had to change places with others who have real cause for complaint.

If you have a strong body and a sound mind you have much to be thankful.
( Millions of people around you have no such blessings.

If you are experiencing what you believe to be failure, have patience; you may be
    passing through your testing time.

If you have the real seed of success within you a little adversity and temporary
defeat will serve to nurture that seed and cause it to burst forth. Just like the
    oak tree inside the acorn.

“There is a sure way to avoid failure: be nothing and do nothing. Find a job that
kills off ambition. The remedy never fails.”

All achievement begins with your imagination. The experts say that you must see
yourself in possession of your purpose in life before fulfilling your burning desire.

Just think for a moment how powerful imagination is. This is where it all begins.
Imagination is the mirror of your soul. Your imagination belongs to you! You will
never know your capacity of achievement until you combine your efforts with
imagination. ( Stand in front of your mirror and see
yourself as you wish to be, the mansion you intend to own, the person you intend
    to become.

There are endless approaches to every problem, but there is only one best
approach. No matter how great your product or service may be, there are millions
of wrong ways to offer it. Your imagination will help you find the right way.

    Remember the Wizard of Oz?

Pull the curtain aside and discover a tall mirror. Stand in front of this tall mirror
in which you can see yourself from head to foot. Introduce yourself to the only
person in this world who can bring you joy and success. (
You must sit down and become acquainted with that person, as you never became
acquainted with that person before. You will be of no value to yourself or to the
world until you know that person better.

Love, beauty, joy and worship are forever building, tearing down and rebuilding the
    foundation of each man’s soul.

Ambition, self-confidence and hope can be destroyed by poverty. Add to it the burden
of debt and all who are victims of the two are practically doomed to failure.

No person can perform at their full potential nor create or accomplish a goal in life
with heavy debt hanging over their head. The person who is bound by heavy debt is
just as helpless as the person who is bound by actual chains.

It is a terrible thing of going through life like a prisoner in chains, bound and owned by
somebody else due to debt. It starts small and grows slowly until finally it takes charge
    of one’s soul.

We are controlled by our habits. Any habit can be changed by replacing it with other and
more desirable habits. The “spending” habit must be replaced by the “saving” habit. The
habit of saving money requires character.

Forming the savings habit means that you must surround yourself with a group of friends
who enjoy you without elaborate entertaining on your part.

The greatest thing in life is FREEDOM! (

There is no real freedom without a reasonable degree of financial independence.

“Time & money are precious resources, and few people striving for success ever believe
they possess either one in excess.” – Napoleon Hill.

You are condemning yourself to poverty, misery and failure or you
are driving yourself on toward the heights of great achievement,
solely by the thoughts you think. If you demand with intelligent action
    you are sure to win.

Go at the task of developing self-confidence with the faith as a grain
of mustard seed. Disregard “what they will say” because you might as
well know that “they” will be of little help to your climb toward the object
of your burning desire. ( You have within you all the
power you need to get whatever you want or deserve and the best way
to avail yourself of this power is to believe in yourself.

Believe in yourself, but do not tell the world what you can do-SHOW IT!

Your aim must be active and not passive. A definite aim will never be anything else but a wish unless you become a person of Initiative and aggressively and persistently pursue that aim until it has been fulfilled.

You will get nowhere without persistence. Imagine if Edison gave up on the light bulb. You’d be reading a book and getting around under a lit candle. The difference between persistence and lack of it is the same as the difference between wishing for a thing and positively determining to get it.

To become a person of Initiative you must form the habit of aggressively and persistently follow the object of your definite aim until you get it, whether it takes you one year or twenty years. The operative word is “definite”. Everyone wants more money. That’s not enough. You must know what you want, when you expect to have it, and how you going to get it.

You are committing a great disservice to yourself if you do not take some step each day that brings you closer of your definite aim. Do not fool yourself to believe it will materialize if you only wait. Through your own determination, backed by your own careful plans and initiative in taking efficient action will cause the materialization of your definite aim.

“The world bestows its big prizes, both in money and honors, for one thing, and that is Initiative.” – Elbert Hubbard
